Elliottis plywood (also known as shuttering plywood) is manufactured from single species of Elliottis Pine. It is generally used for hoarding, packaging, shuttering, and non-structural building.

Merchant Grade Elliottis is a shuttering ply, used for protecting floors or for heavy machinery to drive over them. This plywood is a low grade and will have loads of core gaps, the face/reverse will have loads of knot filler and be un-sanded, and some face veneer is missing. The look of the ply isn’t great. It’s a Non-structural ply and shouldn’t be used for structural purposes. This plywood doesn’t conform to any plywood standard.

Normally, the panels are manufactured with an odd number of plies, with each ply arranged to meet those bonded to it at a 90-degree angle, to make sure that the construction is balanced.

The face and reverse veneers are usually arranged to orient with the longest dimension.

Common Uses & Key Features:

  • The panels are an economic option when you are doing concrete forming.
  • They offer reliable structural performance
  • They are suitable for places where moisture content is above 20%
